A beautiful quiet spot to unwind. Stayed in the honeymoon suite which has a private pool. The lodge has been put together beautiful with attention to detail. One of the best massages I’ve ever had. Well worth a visit

What a fantastic stay and what incredibly sweet people. We enjoyed our stay! Definitely a must! What made our stay so special were the people and the effort they made for us in terms of accommodation and activities. Also absolutely compliments for the delicious food. All in all a highlight of our entire journey.

What an amazing time I’ve had at the Wild Blue Lodge. A beautiful place with breathtaking views to the Blyde mountains. The plains game reserve allows you to explore the area on your own by foot. What a great experience to meet giraffes and antelopes while walking through the bush!
The tranquility of the place makes it easy to relax from the first minute on. Amazing and perfectly arranged food (thanks to Molly and team) and pristine clean rooms with a fully stocked minibar + free tea and coffee plus fresh water every day.
It is easy to spend the day in the heated pool and the pool area.
A real home away from home, thanks to Sabine and her gorgeous team.
Wish I could have stayed longer, will definitely recommend your place and will come back soon!

Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise hat Sabine mit ihrem Team für uns alles nahezu perfekt organisiert. Die Lodge selbst mit ihrem kleinen Pool sowie der Möglichkeit, Frühstück und Abendessen unter freiem Himmel einnehmen zu können, hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen! Auch die von Sabine geplanten Ausflüge waren sehr gut. Wir haben dadurch die Umgebung mit ihren vielen Facetten näher kennen gelernt und uns insgesamt sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt!

We had an incredible stay with Sabine and team at Wild Blue to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. They went out of their way to make us feel special. We chose a package that included daily activities, like bush walks, game drives, a massage, and a Panorama tour. It was worth every bit! Philip was our guide throughout and he was a pleasure. The food was amazing. They really thought of and took care of everything. Definitely recommend!

Good that animals comes so close during the day, that's what guests want to see, we always visit game reserve to animals.

We stayed at the Wild Blue Lodge for our honeymoon at the end of a month long trip to South Africa. We were blown away by the beautiful lodge, with its stunning views of the reserve with the Drakensburg mountains behind. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite, which is wonderfully cosy with its high thatched ceiling and beautiful private outdoor area and plunge pool. The food overall was excellent and the mealtime service impeccable. Our favourite thing was how well cared for we felt by Sabine and everyone at the lodge. We felt more like guests in the home of old friends than anonymous faces in a hotel. We loved our game drive and Panorama Route tour with Philip, whose warmth, enthusiasm and knowledge of wildlife left a lasting impression on us both. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at the Wild Blue Lodge for 4 nights at Easter. The lodge is about 30 minutes' drive from the main road, but the path (gravel road) goes through the so-called Greater Kruger Park, and so we already came across the first giraffes and monkeys. The lodge is simply an oasis of calm, the rooms are magical (we had Fig Cottage and Baobab Cottage). The service is fantastic, Sabine and her team are great. We enjoyed a great massage in nature and took a walk to the Ollifant River with Philip. We would particularly like to highlight the great food! The cuisine in South Africa is generally very good and, above all, the meat is of very high quality and tasty (due to the completely different free and species-appropriate animal husbandry), but the cook Molly also conjured up a fantastic menu every day for my two vegetarians in the family. High praise and 100 percent recommendation for a stay at the Wild Blue Lodge.

The experience at the Wild Blue Lodge is just outstanding. We have been to the Lodge several times and always love to come back. The rooms are stunning, we were in the Honeymoon Suite this time and had our own private pool - absolutely wonderful. The lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love for details. The staff is just amazing and the food is always very tasty.

It was a remarkable stay and we are already looking forward to come again.

The staff are very friendly and the new manager, Sabine is great. Fantastic breakfast and the 3 course dinner was lovely, although a little disappointing after the last time we were here.
However, staying in the lodge is a real treat if you are heading off into the Kruger and staying in the rest camps. Will definitely come back again.

The place is peaceful and tranquil, staff very friendly and always making sure that you are comfortable. Phillip has been a great host always available to assist. The game drive was amazing with his knowledge of game and the plants.

The setting was spectacular. It is out of the way and a bit difficult to find if self-driving. However, once there, the drive is worth the effort. Wild open area. Friendly staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Room large and charming with comfortable bed.

  Die beste Unterkunft die wir auf unserer Reise besuchen durften. Eine wunderschöne Atmosphäre und ein gepflegtes Auftreten sind alle schon im ersten Moment überwältigend. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt beschaulich und weit weg von Massentourismus. Das Essen war seit langem das beste, welches wir gegessen haben! Vielen Dank an die Köchin. Alles war außergewöhnlich gut und fast schon auf Sternniveau. Auch macht es viel Spaß im Reservat zu Fuß, mit dem eigenen Auto oder auf einer Tour die ungefährlichen Tiere Afrikas auf eigene Faust zu entdecken. Besonders eindrucksvoll war eine geführte Wanderung an den nahen Fluss auf welchem wir danke Philipp viel über Tiere und Pflanzen lernen durften. Vielen Dank an Sabine, Philipp und das ganze Team, die diesen Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderem gemacht haben.

Communicating with the lodge was easy as could be the experience was so smooth honestly. The massage was incredible one of the best ive ever had. All the staff are amazing and super friendly.

Dit hotel geboekt als cadeautje voor mijn verjaardag en wat een super tof cadeau heb ik mezelf gegeven. Het hotel is prachtig en voldeed aan al mijn verwachtingen. Heb ook een massage geboekt wat gegeven wordt op een zeer mooie locatie uitkijkende over het park. In de avond werd er een heerlijke maaltijd geserveerd en in de ochtend heb ik zelfs vers gebakken taart gekregen voor mijn verjaardag die verrukkelijk was. Kamer was ook helemaal top en het was een van de mooiste plekken om te douchen.

Well organised accommodation - I give it 10/10. In the near future I will go and stay longer.

The staff are so friendly, the accommodation (we chose the tent) was beautiful - we had our own private garden with a hammock and fire pit. The massage at the spa was very relaxing set in a beautiful location!
